This past week, UIG contributing photographer Bernard Friel celebrated his 91st birthday. We wanted to wish Bernie a very Happy Birthday as he gets ready for yet another outdoor adventure. That’s right, even at 91 Bernie refuses to slow down and continues to shoot and provide high-quality and relevant images for an ever-changing marketplace.
Bernie specializes in nature and wildlife subjects, with a focus on the Western United States. His travels and photo shoots over the past five decades include canoeing, rafting and climbing adventures. His stunning landscapes of the American West feature imagery from more than 30 national and state parks and refuges.
