UIG are pleased to add the Florilegius collection to our archive. Florilegius, the passion of collector Richard Jeffery, offers more than 35,000 engravings, illustrations, archival prints, and lithographs of a variety of subjects.
Well-known for its deep coverage of botanical illustrations, Florilegius built its comprehensive botanical image archive from its collection of flower magazines, botany books and gardening manuals, published between 1750 and 1900. The collection grew to include vast amounts of other subjects, including illustrations of birds and animals (including extinct and endangered species); historical fashion; antique maps; notable persons in history; and cultural heritage.
All Florilegius images are now available from UIG for licensing. Please enjoy the attached slideshow as an introduction of the many subjects available from this beautiful new collection.
