“Invest in Our Planet” is the theme of Earth Day 2022. April 22 will mark the 33rd Earth Day since the first event organized on April 22, 1970. This year’s theme challenges businesses, governments, and citizens worldwide to invest in our shared future and protect the Earth, our beautiful, collective home.

This year, Earth Day challenges businesses to build towards a more sustainable and profitable future, while developing innovative products and technologies that benefit humankind and our planet. Earth Day also challenges local and national governments to build healthier and more sustainable cities, countries, and economies. Through subsidies and regulations, governments can motivate change on a massive scale, and lead us to a greener future. Lastly, this year’s Earth Day calls on all of us to speak up and act up, to protect the only home we’ll ever have – Earth! Get involved, learn what you can do to make a difference, and tell your family and friends what you are doing to help save our future. Whether in big or small ways, we are all called this year to Invest in Our Planet!
