UIG congratulates long-term contributor Peter Bennett on the release of his book on one of his photographic passions, the Los Angeles River.
Peter has been photographing the Los Angeles River since 2008, one of its most transformative periods, capturing beautiful riverscapes, majestic historic bridges, captivating still-life’s and exciting glimpses of the river’s wildlife and many recreational activities. The river, which flows nearly 50 miles from the Simi Hills and Santa Susana Mountains through Los Angeles County to its end at Long Beach and San Pedro Bay, is the longest paved waterway in the world. Peter’s beautiful imagery captures the river’s revitalization and its importance as a vital ecosystem to more than 250 species of birds and other wildlife.
